Loss in Our Community

Good Morning Everyone! It is a beautiful Spring morning, there are robins and cardinals happily singing and it’s a perfect temperature to get out and walk. This morning, our community is grieving the loss of a very kind and well-loved man. He had a a giving spirit, he was creative and he had a life-long partner who loves him dearly. The community has lost many people this year, all of them gone much sooner than it seems they should be, we are never prepared to say good bye to friends and loved ones but, life is like that and we need to take time to grieve and to remember together. We need to share memories and joys and yes, cry.

These verses remind us that this time of mourning will not last forever, God is right here with us and He will care for those we lost through eternity in His Heavenly Home. Take time to celebrate each moment of each day with friends and loved ones, we never know how long we’ll be together. Love one another, forgive one another and trust that God, “...is the Guardian of our souls.” Life is a gift and each person is a treasure! Remember: you are valued, you are loved and the world is a better place with YOU in it. ❤️

“Blessed are they that mourn: for they shall be comforted.” - Matthew 5:4 (KJV)

“Lord, your love reaches to the heavens.” - Psalm 36: 5 (NCV)

“Once you were like sheep who wandered away. But now you have turned to your Shepherd, the Guardian of your souls. - 1 Peter 2:25 (NLT)

Dear Father in Heaven, Please wrap those who are grieving in Your strong and loving arms. Lift them up and give them the peace of knowing You are with them and their loved ones are eternally safe and happy in Your presence. Help us to use this time of grief to build stronger and more meaningful relationships with one another so our community will grow stronger and more loving and giving together. Please grant those who are struggling the peace that only You can give. In Jesus’s name we pray, Amen
